MICARS students compete in 2017 Philippine Culinary Cup

Manila Institute for Culinary Arts and Residential Services (MICARS) students participated and bagged awards during the 2017 Philippine Culinary Cup last August 2-5 in SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

Jelly Joy Labatete and Jelly Joy Bagaforo represented MICARS in Live Pasta and Plated Dessert categories, respectively. They have prepared Chicken Cannelloni with Tomato, Gorgonzolla, and Mascarpone Sauce; Strawberry-Kiwi Trifle with Strawberry-Kiwi Coulis, Dragon Fruit Medley with Fruit Coulis, Chocolate Mousse with Chocolate Sauce, and Lemon Souffle with Lemon Creme Anglaise and Chocolate Sauce.

MICARS students leveled up in the competition when Harzha Loquinto received a bronze medal for her Mustard-Maple Porkloin with Orange Sauce (Pork Category), while Irish Dyan Frontada got silver for her Arugula Salad (Salad Category).
