(FPTI) and its educational institutions, in particular, the Banilad Center for Professional Development (BCPD) in Cebu, Philippines through the project \u201cAccess to economic means of development for Filipino women experiencing social exclusion and capacity building of the partner NGO (FPTI)\u201d for ten years now.<\/p>\n<p>The collaborative project includes the following activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implementation of competency-based education and training (CBET) that helped 1,100 young girls find gainful employment in hotel and restaurant industry in the Philippines and abroad.<\/li>\n<li>Development of CBET manuals for teachers and students.<\/li>\n<li>Coordination with 70 committed industry partners for students\u2019 work experience and funding of Work Experience Coordinator position.<\/li>\n<li>Establishment of customized courses and micro-enterprise opportunities for women in the neighboring island provinces.
