After finishing the construction projects in Leyte, we proceeded to Capiz, a province of the Panay Island. Panay didn’t receive media attention as much as Leyte, but there were many families seriously affected by Haiyan.
We had been in Capiz since April and are expected to stay until September to finish around seven houses. To date, we have completed five housing projects. The families are very grateful to all donors and individuals who helped them, not only for their newly-built homes, but also for the relief goods and livelihood opportunities.
Apart from Leyte and Capiz, we also plan to help typhoon victims in Samar. FPTI Haiyan Project welcomes more donations which to be allocated for future rural service projects, medical missions, and livelihood programs. With your generous contribution, the foundation and its partnership with other local NGO’s can continue to help Haiyan survivors.
