OUR SCHOOLS

Lifelong development for women from all walks of life is the primary focus of the Foundation for Professional Training, Inc. Guided by this thrust, the FPTI Schools believe that raising the educational level of women and developing their skills redounds to the good of the family they belong and the community they serve. In 2020 we have consolidated into three schools.

FPTI-PUNLAAN SCHOOL (MICARS + HABIHAN) NCR

Founded in 1975 in San Juan, Metro Manila, Punlaan School has been dedicated to providing young women with holistic education and specialized training in hospitality and culinary arts. It was the first institution in the Philippines to adopt the German Model of the Dual Training System, combining classroom instruction with hands-on industry experience. Building on this foundation, two additional schools were later established: the Manila Institute for Culinary Arts and Residential Services (MICARS) in 1995, and Habihan School in 1996. In 2023, these institutions were consolidated under Punlaan School, strengthening its legacy as a pioneer in technical-vocational education for women.

FPTI-ANIHAN TECHNICAL SCHOOL (Calamba, Laguna)

Anihan Techical School, located in Brgy. Milagrosa, Calamba, Laguna, was established in 1986. Over the years, it has become one of the leading technical-vocational schools in Calabarzon. Anihan is distinguished within FPTI network by its Livelihood Center, which creates project-based employment opportunities for women in the community. The Center also contributes regularly to the school’s scholarship fund, helping more young women pursue education and build brighter futures.

FPTI-BANILAD CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CEBU)

Established in 1991 in Barrio Luz, Cebu City, Banilad Center for Professional Development (BCPD) was founded in response to Blessed Alvaro del Portillo’s call to serve the poor of Cebu. Today, BCPD stands as a leading technical-vocational school, shaping careers in tourism, hospitality, and health services. Within the FPTI network, BCPD is a steadfast partner of government agencies and international organizations, extending skills training to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and indigenous peoples (IPs). Through these efforts, BCPD continues to open doors of opportunity and dignity for communities most in need.
